Celebrating the Nassau County Traffic Safety Team
Happy Birthday Nassau CTST! The Nassau County Traffic Safety Team was established on November 12, 2003 by the Northeast FDOT, District Two’s CTSP. Together they work with local agencies, engineers, law enforcement, emergency services, educators, citizens and partners. Their goal is to help resolve traffic safety concerns on their roadways.

Towns and cities in Nassau County include Fernandina Beach, Callahan, Yulee, Hilliard, and Amelia Island. This most northeastern county of Florida has a diverse roadway system traveling through coastal, rural and historic areas. We wish the Nassau County Traffic Safety Team a very “Happy Birthday.” We appreciate all of the past and present members for their dedication to promoting traffic safety throughout their communities.
Community Traffic Safety Teams (CTSTs) are locally based groups of highway safety advocates who are committed to solving traffic safety problems. This is done through a comprehensive, multi-jurisdictional, multi-disciplinary approach.
Multi-disciplinary means integrating efforts of the four “E” disciplines that work in highway safety. This includes Engineering, Education/public information, Enforcement, and Emergency Medical Services. By combining these various disciplines, the CTSTs help to solve local traffic safety problems related to the driver, the vehicle and the roadway.
We celebrate the birthdays of all the teams of the Northeast FDOT, District Two’s CTSP. Be sure to check out our YouTube channel for more team anniversary/birthday celebration videos.
